My Nokia phone makes a terrible screeching noise - what can I do about it?
Make sure that phone is in the "car" profile, not the "headset" profile. The Mr Handsfree carkit must be plugged into the cigarette lighter with 12V output BEFORE the phone is connected. This way the Nokia phone "understands" that it is plugged into a carkit and not a personal headset.
What did I do wrong? My handsfree car kit is not working?
Please check if your cigarette lighter adaptor is connected - if connected a green light will appear. A yellow light should also appear which means the kit is ready to work.
What's the best procedure to install mobile connector and mobile phone?
To obtain the best Mr Handsfree sound quality it's important to firstly click your connector to the kit and install your mobile phone last. Th connection of your mobile phone should always be the last step of the installation.
Is it important where exactly I place my microphone?
For optimum performance, the microphone should be located at least 40-50 cm from the driver's mouth. Make sure that the microphone is directed towards the driver. never place the microphone too close to the handsfree car kit.
Is it important that my mobile phone is in the ON or OFF position when I connect it to the Mr Handsfree mobile phone connector?
Yes, to obtain the best functioning we advise to have your phone in ON position when you connect it to the kit.
Can I use my Mr Handsfree car kit in 12V AND 24V cars?
Yes, this kit can be used with both systems. However, the ALCATEL mobile phone is the only one that works solely with 12V systems. So never install this brand of mobile phone to the kit while using 24V connection.
My Mr Handsfree car kit was working perfectly and suddenly the sound quality has diminished. What can I do and what could be the cause?
Because the connection system of the mobile phone to the Mr Handsfree connector is very fragile and can be effected by dust, we advise you to clean your mobile phone connection points regularly with a cotton bud dipped in ethyl-alcohol (please note that using some other liquid could damage your phone!).
My Samsung mobile phone is NOT charging?
No charging function is available for SAMSUNG mobile phones connected to Mr Handsfree car kits. This is the only phone that doesn't provide charging with our existing connectors.
I have a SONY mobile phone and have echo-effect when using the mr Handsfree car kit?
